After bringing together over 600 runners and raising ~$17,000 for a great cause in it's initial year, the BO-GLO 5K returned in 2014 with 591 runners and ~$19,000 to go towards Cushing's awareness! In 2015, we plan on going beyond the mark to make this an even bigger event and possibly adding a second concert type event in Utah. The BO-GLO 5K is a truly unique after-dark 5K experience organized by a local group dedicated to giving back and being a fun and exciting part of the Boise community.
Glow yourself out and join runners, joggers and walkers from the Gene Harris Bandshell at Julia Davis Park along the Boise River Greenbelt and back. While we begin at sunset, you'll light up the course with glow sticks and lights, running or walking through black light tunnels, strobe lights, and more! Come early to enjoy the pre-race festivities: food trucks, live local music, and other vendors!
6-8pm – Party/On-Site Registration
Haven’t registered yet? Not a problem! Show up, register, pick up your race packet (only guaranteed to those who register online by April 1st) and enjoy great music and vendors in the Starting Line Staging Area at the Bandshell.
8:20pm – Ready, Set, GLOW!
Crack all those glow sticks and make sure those laces are tied because we’ll be hitting the pavement and running through our course’s sweet light features!
8:40pm-10pm – After Party!
Catch your breath, grab some post-run grub from the on-site food trucks, and wrap things up with us as we hand out some great prizes and one final dance party.
